This is just the beginning, but our vision is big: to become a complete Academy environment that develops the whole athlete through elite on and off ice training, academic excellence, and character development.

Hockey Development:

On ice training is led by coaches Paul Crowder and Kevin Klein. We will focus on Skill development (edges, shooting, puck control, passing), developing hockey IQ (Forward and D specific drills and hockey IQ skills), Video Analysis (video breakdown of NHL game tapes to aid in situational awareness).

Each day will be 1 hr on the ice per group. Not every day will have Video Analysis.

The Academics:

North Star Legacy is an innovative guided inquiry learning program designed for children who are curious, passionate, and ready to take an active role in their education. We are not a traditional classroom. Instead, we create an environment where children have the opportunity to explore questions that matter to them, research topics of interest, investigate ideas, solve problems, create, collaborate, and discover where their curiosity can take them.

Through guided inquiry, students are supported by educators who help them ask meaningful questions, find and evaluate information, conduct research, explore different perspectives, and turn their ideas into meaningful projects and learning experiences.

Our partnership with Pro Level Performance Hockey Academy brings this approach together with a passion for hockey. We believe children should not have to choose between their love of learning and their love of the game. North Star Legacy complements their commitment to hockey by giving them a chance to be an active and engaged part of their learning, while developing confidence, independence, critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love of discovery.

Together, North Star Legacy and Pro Level Performance Hockey Academy provide an experience where kids can learn, grow, and be challenged both on and off the ice.

• Maximum enrollment is 30 students.

• The first 10 students to enroll receive the $120/day promotional rate. This promotional rate applies whether the student attends one day or both Monday and Wednesday.

• After the first 10 promotional spots are filled, students enrolled for both Monday and Wednesday receive the $125/day two-day rate.

• Qualifying siblings from the same household receive the $125/day sibling rate.

• Students attending only one day per week after the promotional spots are filled are charged the regular $130/day rate.

• A 35% payment is required at registration. The remaining 65% is paid monthly from September through March.

• The Town has currently only provided confirmed facility availability through March 2027. Additional programming dates beyond March will be added once availability is released.

• Families will not be charged for unconfirmed dates at this time. Once additional dates are confirmed, families will receive the updated schedule and any applicable payment information.

Program goal: The introductory pricing is designed to make it easier for families to get started, build participation, and create a strong community around the program
